The Point Cafe

Our Story

Pastor Kevin Utile planted Reach Boulder on Pentecost of 2015 with a vision for revival. In 2018 he became Sr Pastor of Calvary Chapel Broomfield. In the summer of 2018 Michael Dean and his family moved to Boulder as missionaries seeking to see revival as well. They met at the Calvary Chapel Broomfield men’s prayer meeting and went to University Hill along with Nathaniel Carlson to pass out pizza in exchange for prayer.

Our Story

Together this became our weekly routine of being available to the community by handing out pizza for prayer. God began to impress upon our hearts that He was going to give us a location to be a constant light on University Hill. God directed us to a specific coffee shop on the corner of college and 13th. Kevin Utile felt led that we should lay hands on the building and ask God for this specific coffee shop. Together we laid hands on the building and asked God to provide it as a refuge and light on the Hill.

Within 3 weeks the owners decided to sell to us! We purchased The Point Cafe in January of 2019 and opened in March of 2019. The Point Cafe is staffed by volunteers from Calvary Chapel Broomfield as well as the affiliated discipleship home. The Point Cafe is only the beginning of the great things God is doing with greater things to come.

Plan a visit for a great cup of coffee and amazing food. Come and be a part of the story that God is writing! Inquiries welcome.

Reach Boulder's next venture of faith is taking over a coffee shop called The Point Cafe. The leadership has put everything on the line trusting God is calling them to take over this coffee shop, but they need your help.
